Delay Play
The Delay Limit feature is engineered to mitigate risks associated with sharp plays, ensuring that our clients maintain the upper hand. By introducing a configurable delay on considerable plays, this feature provides a critical time window for line adjustments in response to emerging insights, maintaining market integrity and competitive fairness.
Key Components
- Delay Seconds: This functionality allows the imposition of a delay on play execution, providing a valuable buffer period for critical line assessment and adjustment. The delay can be customized according to specific needs, ranging from a negligible delay to a maximum of 60 seconds.
- Delay Play Limit: Define a threshold (Delay Risk Limit) to automatically trigger the Delay Play rule. This proactive measure ensures that any play exceeding this limit is subject to the specified delay, offering an additional layer of precision in play management.
Implementing the Delay Limit Feature
Setting Delay Seconds
- Navigate to the Tools menu and select Sports Settings
- Look for the Delay Play section.
- You can enter a value directly to set your preferred delay duration (0-60 seconds).
- Confirm your settings by clicking 'Save'. Your chosen delay is active and will be applied to all qualifying plays.
Defining the Delay Play Limit
- Within the Delay Limit feature tab, locate the Delay Play Limit section.
- Enter your desired Delay Risk Limit value. This value represents the threshold at which the delay will be triggered for specific plays.
- Click 'Save Settings' to apply this setting. Plays exceeding this limit will now be subject to the delay you defined previously.
Best Practices
- Regular Review: Market dynamics evolve; regularly reassess your Delay Limit settings to ensure they align with current realities and strategies.
- Strategic Setting: Use historical data and pattern analysis to determine your operations' optimal delay duration and play limit values.
- Feedback Loop: Monitor the Delay Limit feature's impact on play management and line accuracy. Based on performance data, adjust settings as needed.
