Sportsbook Rules Summary

THE RULES

The Rules govern the procedures for betting on sporting events, including football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and soccer. These rules explain how bets will be treated if a game does not meet specific timing requirements, interruptions or cancellations, and if a game ends in a tie. In addition, the rules define the criteria for action, suspension, and termination of bets. This set of regulations also includes sport-specific rules for baseball, soccer, and other games. Knowing these rules before placing a bet is crucial to ensure everything is clear and precise.

House Rules

Games must have a final score and meet or exceed the schedule below to have action.
Football (College & PRO 55 minutes
Basketball (PRO) 43 minutes
Basketball (College) 35 minutes
Hockey 55 minutes
Baseball (Home Team Moneyline Winning) 4 1/2 innings
Baseball (Away Team Moneyline Winning) 5 innings
Baseball (Run/Spread Line & Total Runs, Home Winning)* 8 1/2 innings
Baseball (Run/Spread Line & Total Runs, Visitor Winning)* 9 innings
Soccer (OT does not count for the final score) 90 minutes + injury time
Games for sports listed above that do not meet or exceed the schedule are No Action regardless of the Final score. Games must have a Final score to be Actioned.
All games must be completed on the day scheduled. Suspended games and games that are completed the next day are No Action. This rule, however, does not apply to golf round head-two-head action or tennis matches. If a round of golf or tennis match is completed the next day, the play stands.
Overtime and extra-inning games are part of the regular game (except soccer). This pertains to the game and total. Overtime is part of any halftime and 4th quarter play (except soccer).
For head-to-head propositions or matchups, both sides must play for action to occur. If one side does not play, the proposition is considered No Action.
A player or team must play for a proposition to have action. The proposition is considered No Action if a team or player did not play.

Halves, Quarters, Periods, Innings, and Rounds Grading: If a half, quarter, period, round, or inning is completed, it will have Action regardless of the situation for the rest of the event. This rule also pertains to an event suspended or canceled with no Final score or result.

BAD LINE RULE - Plays made on an apparent gross line error, whether due to software or human error, will be considered No Action.

Parlay

In No Action or a tie, the parlay is reduced to the next lowest number of plays. A two-team parlay with a tie and a win becomes a straight play.

Teasers

* A tie can revert to the following lower number of teams or is considered a LOSS depending on how your agent set up his book. Please get in touch with your agent for the rule.

Tie and loss are considered a loss.
* Note that a 2-team teaser with a push is not reduced to a 1-team teaser, as there is no such play.
Big Football Teasers     Note: Big teasers only - any tie loses.
3 team          10pts
Big Basketball Teasers      Note: Big teasers only - any tie loses.
3 team           7pts

Point Purchasing

Not available on halftime, circled, and added games.
One-half point -120
One point -130
One and one-half point -140
Two points -150
* Football price may be different from above depending on the game line. In football, buying on, off, or through a spread of 7 or 3 will cost 25% instead of 10%. For example, buying a half point from Oakland +7 -110 to Oakland +7.5 will give you a new line of Oakland +7.5 -135 instead of Oakland +7.5 -120.

Other Rules

The following rules are unique to specific sports.

Baseball Pitcher Rules
Baseball game moneyline and first 5 inning plays have the following pitcher options
Listed Both Pitchers, Both listed pitchers must start for moneyline plays to have action. You have No Action if either or both pitchers do not start the game. All baseball total and run-line are listed as pitchers only.
Listed One Pitcher The pitcher you specify must start for moneyline plays to have action. You have No Action if your specified pitcher does not start the game. If the pitcher opposing your selected pitcher is changed, the moneyline price will be computed with revised odds based on the new pitcher.
Action All moneyline plays have action. However, if there is a pitching change, the moneyline price will be computed with revised odds based on the new pitchers.
NOTE: Specified pitchers are the pitchers posted. If no pitchers are posted, i.e., pre-season, then the action goes regardless of pitchers.

Baseball 7 Inning Rule
In the case of a pre-determined 7-inning game, the game must complete 7 innings or 6 1/2 innings if the home team is leading. Otherwise, Totals, Run Lines, Moneyline, or Propositions will constitute a No Action.

Baseball Player Props Rule
For player props such as hits, runs, or stolen bases, a player must have at least 1 plate appearance and is a starter. If a player comes in as a pinch hitter or runner, then all props on the player are No Action.

MLB Regular Season Series
When selecting a team to win a regular season series, the series is based on consecutive games played. It should also be noted that no other opponent can run between the consecutive series games. If any series game gets canceled, the play is No Action. All series plays are based on action, not listed pitchers.

Soccer Moneyline Rule
Any play on the moneyline of a soccer game is considered a loss if a game is a draw.

Soccer Asian Handicap Lines
Spread and Total lines for Soccer work exactly the same as in the other sports except for one difference. Sometimes you will see lines with a comma, i.e., OVER 2 ½,3 -110, or ENGLAND pick,- ½ -110. These lines are based on the Asian Handicap line type. Below are explanations of the Asian Handicap spread and total lines.
If you play on a line such as UNDER 2,2 ½ -110 for 100 credits, you are placing 50 credits on UNDER 2 -110 and another 50 credits on Under 2 ½ -110. If the game's total score is 2, then you will push on the UNDER 2 -110 and lose on UNDER 2 ½ -110. You will lose everything if the score is 3 because 2 and 2 ½ are lower than 3. If the score is 1, you will win everything because 2 and 2 ½ are higher than 1.
This works the same way for spread lines. For example, if you play on NIGERIA + 1,+ 1 ½ - 110 for 100 credits, you are placing 50 credits on NIGERIA +1 -110 and another 50 credits on Nigeria + 1 ½ - 110. If the game ends with Nigeria 0 and Argentina 1, you would push on NIGERIA +1 -110 and win on NIGERIA +1 ½ -110. If it's Nigeria 0 and Argentina 2, you lose everything because you would lose on NIGERIA +1 and NIGERIA +1 ½. If the score is Nigeria 0 and Argentina 0, you win everything because you would win on the NIGERIA +1 and NIGERIA +1 ½.

Tennis Rule
For plays to stand, they must be completed without the player's withdrawal, injuries, or disqualification. All plays will have action if a match is rescheduled due to weather problems, bad light, etc. If a player withdraws before the match due to injuries or other reasons, then all plays for that match are No Action.

Golf Matchup Rules
If both players in a matchup miss the cut(MC) or withdraw(WD) and fail to complete the tournament, all plays are considered No Action. If one player misses the cut(MC) or withdraws (WD) and the other player continues and finishes, the player who finished is the winner if the play is a matchup. If a player in a matchup withdraws (WD) without teeing off for the tournament, all plays are considered No Action.
All plays for a player who missed the cut(MC) or withdrew (WD) during a tournament in a To Win Tournament in the future are considered losses. All play for a player who withdraws (WD) before the game starts in a To Win Tournament future are considered No Action.

Golf Spread Line
For regular tournaments, the Spread Line is based on strokes. But for Match Play tournaments, the Spread Line is based on points.

Golf Dead Heat Rule
In a future/proposition where a dead heat(tie) occurs in a line such as "2nd Round Winner", "Leader after 1st Round", etc., the winning payout is divided by the total number of golfers in the dead heat(tie).
For example, if you made a play on "1st Round Winner of Masters," where there are 3 golfers tied for the top spot in the first round and your original payout is 300, your new payout would be 100 based on 300(original winning payout)/3(dead heat golfers) = 100(new payout based on Dead Heat Rule)

Auto Racing Matchup Rules
All race results are official after all post-race inspections. The race must be fully completed on the same day. If a race has started but has to be canceled or rescheduled, all plays for that race are No Action. If a race has not started but has to be rescheduled due to weather problems, bad lights, etc., then all plays will have action. If a driver withdraws from a race before the start time, all plays for that driver are No Action.

MMA and Boxing Round Rule
A total listed on a fight represents the total number of completed rounds. The halfway point of a round is at exactly two minutes and thirty seconds into a five-minute round. Thus, 4½ rounds would be two minutes and thirty seconds of the 5th round. The halfway point of a three-minute round is at the one-minute and 30 seconds mark. The halfway point of a two-minute round is at the one-minute mark.

MMA and Boxing DQ Rule
If a fighter is disqualified, then the fight is No Action.

Regular Season Wins for All Sports
Teams must play all scheduled games for action. Otherwise, plays will be considered void. Unless the outcome has already been determined.

NCAA Football Conference Championships Tie-Breakers
The winner of the SEC, Big 12, and ACC conferences are defined as the winner of those conferences' championship games. For other conferences, in the event of a tie in the regular season standings, the winner is defined as the highest-ranked team according to the BCS standings the week following the conference championship games. If no team is ranked in the BCS, the highest team in the AP poll the week following the conference championship games will be the winner.
