Sportsbook Rules

Our services are designed to deliver a professional, trustworthy experience, enabling you to effortlessly manage your sportsbook. Below, you will find detailed House Rules that govern how games are considered valid for wagering purposes.

Understanding Game Validity and Scoring

To be recognized as valid for wagering, a game must progress to a final score within the durations outlined below. This ensures fairness and clarity in all your betting activities.

Football (College & PRO)

  • Minimum duration for action: 55 minutes

Basketball

  • Professional (PRO): Minimum duration for action: 43 minutes
  • College: Minimum duration for action: 35 minutes

Hockey

  • Minimum duration for action: 55 minutes

Baseball

Determining the validity of a baseball game depends on the situation at play:

  • Home Team Moneyline Winning: At least 4 1/2 innings must be completed.
  • Away Team Moneyline Winning: A minimum of 5 innings must be played.
  • Run/Spread Line & Total Runs:
  • For games where the Home team wins, 8 1/2 innings must be completed.
  • If the Visitor team is winning, the game must reach 9 innings.

Soccer

For soccer, the game must last 90 minutes plus injury time for the final score to be valid. Please note that overtime (OT) is not included in the final score determination.

General Betting Rules

Game Completion & Scheduling

  1. Final Score Requirement: For a game to be considered actionable, it must conclude with a Final score. Any match that does not meet or exceed its scheduled play will be deemed No Action, and no bets will be active or results determined from such games.
  2. Scheduled Completion: All matches must conclude on their originally scheduled date. If a game is suspended or carried over to the following day, bets placed on these matches will be rendered No Action. Exceptionally, this does not apply to golf round head-to-head action or tennis matches. Should these events conclude the following day, all bets stand as placed.

Special Considerations

  1. Overtime and Extra Innings: For all sports except soccer, overtime and extra innings contribute to the regular game's score and outcome. This integration includes bets placed on halves, quarters (including the 4th quarter), periods, and innings. Soccer, however, follows different guidelines, excluding overtime from regular-game period betting.
  2. Head-to-Head Propositions: For bets focusing on head-to-head matchups, both contenders must actively participate for the bets to be considered active. If one participant is absent or does not participate, those specific bets will be deemed No Action.
  3. Player and Team Propositions: A bet on a player or team proposition requires that the respective entity participate in the game—failure of a team or player to partake results in No Action for the placed proposition bets.

Halves, Quarters, Periods, Innings, and Rounds

Completion Clause: When a specific half, quarter, period, round, or inning concludes, all bets related to that specific game segment will have Action, irrespective of the overall event's conclusion or final score.

Bad Line Rule

Line posting errors occasionally occur due to a software glitch or human error. Our policy on wagers under these circumstances is clear: Such plays will be deemed No Action. This policy maintains fairness and integrity in all betting activities on our platform.

Parlay Betting

Parlay bets hold a special place for their high reward potential in sports betting. On our platform, parlays are adjusted in the event of a No Action or a tie. Specifically:

  • A two-team parlay with one tie and one win is adjusted to a straight play.
  • In instances of No Action or a tie, the parlay is reduced to the lowest number of plays, ensuring your betting experience remains dynamic and fair.

Teasers

Teasers offer a unique wagering experience by allowing point adjustments in your favor. However, they come with specific considerations:

  • Based on your agent's setup, a tie-in teaser either reverts to the next lower number of teams or is considered a LOSS. Communication with your agent is key to understanding your specific rules.
  • Notably, a 2-team teaser with a push does not reduce to a 1-team teaser, affirming our commitment to maintaining structured and predictable betting guidelines.

Big Football and Basketball Teasers:

For those seeking thrill in big teasers, note that any tie results in a loss. This policy applies distinctly to:

  • Football teasers of 3 teams at 10 points
  • Basketball teasers of 3 teams at 7 points

Understanding Point Purchasing

Point purchasing on Bookiemarket allows users to buy points on game lines, altering the spread or total to favor their wager. However, it's important to note that point purchasing is not available on halftime, circled, and added games. Here’s how it works:

Costs Associated with Buying Points:

  • One-half point: -120
  • One point: -130
  • One and one-half points: -140
  • Two points: -150

Remember that football prices may vary from the above, depending on the game line.

Special Considerations for Football:

In football, buying points on, off, or through critical numbers such as spreads of 7 or 3 incurs a premium due to their statistical significance in-game outcomes. Therefore, the cost increases by 25% instead of 10%.

Example:

  • Standard Purchase: Buying a half point from Oakland +7 at -110 to Oakland +7.5 would typically increase the line to Oakland +7.5 at -120.
  • Football Exception: Under the special rule, the new line becomes Oakland +7.5 at -135 instead of Oakland +7.5 at -120, indicating a 25% cost increase for buying a half point through a key number.

How to Utilize Point Purchasing:

  1. Select a Game: Choose the game you wish to wager on and ensure it's eligible for point purchasing.
  2. Decide on the Purchase: Determine the number of points you want to buy based on strategic considerations and the cost associated with each point.
  3. Verify Your Selection: Review your selection and the altered line, ensuring it aligns with your betting strategy.
  4. Confirm Your Bet: Once satisfied with the adjusted line, confirm your wager.

Best Practices for Point Purchasing:

  • Utilize Sparingly: Given the cost of buying points, use this feature strategically when the adjusted line provides a significant advantage.
  • Understand Key Numbers: In football, remember the 3 and 7 spreads. Adjusting around these numbers can be pricey but beneficial when done thoughtfully.
  • Assess Value: Always weigh the potential payout against the cost of altering the bet. The goal is to enhance your chance of winning while maintaining value.

Regular Season Wins for All Sports

Regular Season Wins for All Sports is a pivotal component tailored for those looking to enhance their sportsbook experience. This feature allows users to place wagers on the total regular season wins across various sports teams. To ensure the maximal enjoyment and fairness of this offering, the following rules are essential:

  1. Schedule Completion Requirement: Teams must complete all scheduled games for the bets to have action. If a team does not fulfill its designated schedule, any wagers placed on its season wins will be rendered void.
  2. Outcome Determination: In cases where the outcome of a wager can be determined before the end of the season—due to the mathematical impossibility of any other result—bets will stand and be settled accordingly. This ensures bets are honored in scenarios where the conclusion is inevitable, maintaining the integrity of your sportsbook operations.
